Meet Jo

Jo Dodd is a UK-born, Atlanta-based author and poet who writes to help people feel seen—especially midlife women and children who might not fit the mold.

She is the founder of Jotopia Productions, a creative platform built around one simple belief: Embrace the Light Within and Share it With the World.

Jo’s books for women speak to the real, raw, and often unspoken parts of life:

  • Dear Mama Bear with the F*cked Up Hair is a picture book-style poem for overwhelmed moms who need to know they’re not alone.

  • I Am Here & I Am Now is a collection of soulful, spiritual poems that offer calm, clarity, and compassion.

  • Dear Meno Pause: Sweary Poems from the MenoVerse to Say You’re Not Alone or Cursed brings humor, honesty, and solidarity to the menopause experience.

Her children’s books aim to spark confidence, celebrate diversity, and crush fear:

  • Tilly Toad’s Heavy Load

  • Take That, Fear. You Can’t Keep Up With Me

  • We All Like Different Things and That’s A-OK With Me

Jo co-wrote We All Like Different Things with her youngest son, Joseph, who is autistic and has several learning differences. Writing with Joseph has become a deeply meaningful part of Jo’s mission. Together, they’ve proven that being neurodivergent doesn’t limit creativity—it expands it.

Their latest collaboration is The Secret Adventures of Boomer & Rang, the Incredible Time-Traveling Twins, the first in a chapter book series that celebrates imagination, bravery, and inclusion. Joseph is currently writing the second book in the series while raising funds for illustrations and formatting.

Alongside her books, Jo mentors aspiring authors through her PUBLISH Lab and guides midlife women through her wellness and creative platform, MenoShine—because no one should have to pause.
